NOTIFICATION EFFECTIVE OF 18 JANUARY 2010
Beginning
from Monday, January 18th, 2010, the Embassy of the Republic of
Hungary in Chişinau (Moldova) will represent the Kingdom of the
Netherlands regarding visa applications from Moldovan Nationals.
This
representation by the Hungarian Embassy in visa matters will include
the issuing of airport transit visas, transit visas and short-term
visas in accordance with the Schengen rules.
If
the Hungarian Embassy in Chişinau considers that all conditions for
issuing a visa are met, it will issue the visa itself. However, if
the Hungarian Embassy does not have, and cannot obtain the necessary
information about the applicant, the references or the purpose of
the visit, or if this Embassy considers that a visa should not be
issued, or if the Embassy is in doubt whether or not a visa should
be issued, the application must be submitted for decision to the
Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kyiv,
Ukraine.

Applicants of Moldova
nationals applying for visa for Netherlands Antilles and Aruba must
submit their applications via the Visa Application Centre in Kiev,
Ukraine. The appointment can be scheduled via phone on working days
from 09:00-17:00 hours at (+38) 0 44 5941265. Appointment for these
visa categories cannot be scheduled through the
web-site. The timeline of application process is 10
calendar days. To be able to travel back to Moldova after
submission, the passport of the applicant will be returned back the
same day of application.
