Important Announcement
In accordance with the new Schengen Visa Code and as per instructions from the Netherlands Embassy please find below new requirements that are applicable starting from 5th of April:
- Passport of the applicant should be not older than 10 years, including any extension of passport validity,
- Airport transit visa requirement is exempted for holders of valid visas issued by Bulgaria, Cyprus, Romania, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan or the United States of America irrespective of whether the person concerned travels to the country that issued visa or to another third country.
- Transit visa (visa B) is not applicable anymore. Please refer to Short term visa,
- Travel insurance should be valid for the length of the intended stay.
Please note that the Visa Application Centre will not accept application if passport is older than 10 years.
Effective 26th of April ordinary Nigerian passports which are extended manually (hand written) are not being recognized by the Embassy of Netherlands.
Effective August 16th 2010 applications for Tourism visa category will be accepted only if hotel and flight internet reservations contain details of the credit card.

In 2007 the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kyiv, Ukraine,
introduced an optional arrangement with the company VFS (Visa Facilitation
Service) to meet the ever-increasing demand for a Schengen Visa to visit the
Netherlands. This site is part of the Embassy's initiative to ease the visa
application process.
If you wish to apply for a visa, please read the information on this site
carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you to prepare your
documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your
application being incomplete or not being processed.
Visa applicants are welcome to contact our call centre (+38) 0 44 5941265 prior
to visiting our centre to submit their visa applications so that we offer them
the best possible assistance.

Effective 25th of May 2009, we are opening a Visa Application Collection Center

The Visa Application Centre is not in any way associated with
agents/representatives outside the Visa Application Centre premises, including
those situated right outside the Visa Application Centre on the streets. We
strongly advise applicants not to cooperate with any such agents/
representatives. The VAC is not responsible for their actions.
All applicants have to cancel his/her appointment at least 1 day before
submission by calling to call-centre (+38) 0 44 594 12 65 or writing an e-mail
(info@netherlandsvac-ua.com). If this rule is not followed, as
per the Embassy policy the applicant will not be able to schedule an
appointment within 30 days.
